Hello. I’m Simon Shackleton but some of you may know me as Elite Force, Zodiac Cartel or from my days in Lunatic Calm. I’ve been into music since the age of 2 when my Dad tells me I knocked my parents back two steps when I sang a song back to them pitch perfect. Since then, my focus has been music.

I’ve been a working DJ and music producer since the late ‘80s when I was studying classical music at Exeter University with the likes of Thom Yorke and my old bandmate, Howie Saunders. I’ve traveled the world over playing gigs and have written and released almost 600 original tracks, and am still counting.

I’ve run an award-winning label, won a Beatport award for the biggest selling track of the year, won Breakspoll Awards for best label and best producer and have been fortunate enough to play some of the most prestigious festivals around the world including Glastonbury, Burning Man, Shambala, Future Music Festival, Breaksfest and Wickerman.

I’m a big fan of fostering community and sharing knowledge. One of the things I’ve most enjoyed in my career is mentoring up and coming artists, helping them develop opportunities and seeing them grow and flourish. With almost 30 years experience in the music industry, I’m uniquely positioned to offer advice on all aspects of DJing and Electronic Music Production.
